Movers and Shakers!
The Maryland Workplace Health Care Association receives the great majority of its funding from annual membership contributions which are maintained at a level appropriate for most health care providers subject to the Maryland Medical Fee Guide. We value each member and rely on their participation in the ongoing effort to alter an unreasonable status quo. The fact that virtually everyone in a position to know, understands that the current Maryland Medical Fee Guide is outdated, outmoded and unfairly compensates many of the health care providers who care for injured workers.
Doing what it takes!
The fact that the system should be reformed has not and will not be sufficient to bring about change. For that to happen, the fee guide health care community must create the momentum needed to initiate the appropriate reforms. The difference between success and status quo is activity. That activity will require some investments in addition to the member dues for specific activities such as educational events, a dynamic web site, provocative newsletters and political grassroots activity that can motivate policy makers to ask the right questions and vote accordingly.
Sponsors will be encouraged to assume a more active role in the development of these activities and be acknowledged at events and in publications to be created, as appropriate and subject to approval.
